First Place for Youth
First Place for Youth is an Oakland, California based nonprofit founded with the goal of minimizing poverty and homelessness among the youth who “age out” of the foster care system. First Place for Youth provides services to youth ages 16-24 years old who are preparing to age out of foster care or who have recently aged out. They work to ensure that these youth have the opportunity to experience a safe and supported transition out of foster care through a housing program, intensive employment services, an academic enrichment program and several other programs.
